After World War Two 1946-1948 TWA management rode around Africa and SW Asia in a former B17G. See the plate covering where the nose turret was mounted. The picture was taken on the flight line in Heliopolis near Cairo Egypt.
The TWAers in the picture ar Mark Houser, Mechanic standing along the outboard side the prop. Harry Cloud, mechanic, standing in the inboard side. The driver of the jeep is unknown. The passenger whose anme is not remembered was the lead ramp serviceman and crew leader for all the Egyptian personnel employed to clean planes arriving in Cairo.
